- Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
- Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.

So I am still working on the Samus textures, but I felt inclined to do a quick pony. 398 tris without the hair, anyone know some good curly hair tricks?

grime is repeating on the last one and it's quite noticeable

black lines around windows and windshield wipers are too black. it's distracting... maybe make them the same color as the tires?

Working on this texture still, I do think I'm getting better
450 tris (but the hair is twosided for now). 3dsmax is grabbing a bit of stuff near that midseam, I don't really know why but I will have to find that trick that just makes the UVs mirror at the edge and it will be gone.
2 questions: is 256x256 too much for a 450 tris model/thread specs? And how bad is it to feather your alpha map a little? Oh I guess these things would answer themselves if I was making this for anything but fun <:)

This time you can also see the mesh, and I'm all open to critique. Please bear in mind that these two models were my first ever, so I still have a lot to learn.

Maybe it needs more shadows down the sides though, you've got the detail definition going, but maybe something that gives shape.

Yes, that is a good idea but I think it's been done. I think a tribal tattoo would look neato on these, even if a GRITTY NASTY one is more tempting. ANYWAY, it was about time I gave a little polycount tribute a shot
