Apparently friendsreunited has caused a lot of marriages to split up, because people wanting their first loves, then that failing.
Obviously the successful/happy ones would n't be sad enough to register
I was kind of surprised that some of the ones listed would ever be bright enough to connect to the internet.

I remember when there was a huge fuss over friends re-united a few years back and everyone signed up. I find it difficult to understand how the "re-united" works because unless you pay money, it's just a list of the assholes you went to school with.
What I would prefer to see a goverment lead initative whereby all citizens in the UK are listed and given an email address based on their national insurance number. This could also serve as login credentials. Make it free to contact each other based on searching or joining different areas of the network.
