For some reason "Force two-sided" does not work at all. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm very new at max so there may be something I'm doing wrong.
the 2-sided materials check-mark in the mateditor? that one doesn't work in direct3d viewports but for example if you set your display driver to open-gl.
No not in the material editor...when you right click on the viewport text, and go to configure. There's a box in there with the option Force two-sided. This makes it show flipped normals. However when I check the box, it does nothing. It use to work back in 3ds max 6, but not in 7.
I have a quick and simple question, and I didn't want to create a new thread for it because I didn't think it was necessary. I've been fooling around with 3ds max 7 and testing what everything does, and I accidentally screwed something up. Whenever I use the rotate tool, everything in the viewport disappears and only their bounding boxes are shown. When I stop rotating however, they re-appear. This is extremely annoying. A quick reply to this is greatly appreciated.
