This excites me I was happy to see the poster last time I was at the theater. I didn't realize they were adding so many characters to this one. I only knew of Beast. I'm not sold on Kelsey Grammer as Beast right now, but we'll see. He's got the dialect for it, but I guess I just don't like when someone that I connect with something else, plays a key character. I know that I'm going to keep thinking of Fraser in a blue suit as I'm watching the movie.
I was really worried about this one with Singer jumping onto Supes. I haven't been a huge fan of Ratner's work as of late. Looking forward to the trailer. I really hope this one pulls together cause I love the books.
I don't think Kelsey Grammer as the Beast is perfect. Physically, he's just wrong. I'm thinking Grammer is going to play it too cheesy.
Funny, there was a guy shown for five seconds on news TV in X2 who was labeled 'Dr. Hank McCoy', the actor was the perfect image of the character -- in human form.
I was worried if they were gonna have Kelsey Grammer in a suit or if they were gonna cg Beast and just use his voice. But that action pose looks pretty bad-ass! The prosthetic make-up and hair are fantabulously done. Can't wait for the trailer later today!!!
Well, Juggs isn't as bad as nipples on the batsuit. Not sure about Beast yet. Looks like they kept the same visual style as the past movies even though Singer is gone. That's a good thing I hope. Looking forward to this.
I dunno, Juggs looks pretty big with the muscle suit, especially with the helmet on. Alongside other actors, all real people without extensive tweaks, I think he fits in just fine. In the books he's a huge fella, but he's not so big (by comic book standards) that he can't put on civilian clothes and pass in normal society; in the film context, he's proportioned kinda the same way.
I want an x4 with apocalypse and his four hoursemen, archangle leading the way. I think Christopher Judge would make a sweet apocalypse. As well as Cliff Simon as mr. Sinister.
I mean I think I see Jean.. But she isnt on fire and shit...
That and Im still waiting for the Sentinels..

robot to use as a model for the CGI animators. But adding Sentinels to the sequel would've cost $8 million, the designers told the site. Thus, it was cut from the film.
We've been patient, we've been good and now we get to watch everyone kill each other... about time too
I was so pleased so see singer set up the dark phoenix threads in 2, and I'm generally just looking forward to a more all out conflict of mutant against mutant as those were always the best moments in the books and after the Incredibles, we all know what we want to see
Was I the only Xmen comic book fan that hated the first two movies? Although the previews look interesting the fact that the Juggernaut looks like a wimp is well... I always thought the armor of the Juggernaut was a bit plain in the books, but damn does it look so much better that in the preview and the same goes for Magneto's armor. They really needed the sentinels in this one if the human even wanted a shot to defeat the mutants, but no. I guess it can't be worse than the other two. right...
I'm actually looking forward to this one, since it's beeing entirely shot in Vancouver I believe, and that I've been on the set a few times now. Looking kickass
I've got the other 2 on DVD, and this looks awesome. I don't/didn't read the comics so I enjoy these as films on their own merits, not nit picking at little shit
i'm torn betwwwn the 2 now, i thought the first was weak as hell, but was entertained by 2, hope this one will be good
i've read the books on and off and i hated a lot of the liberties they took with it, not so much ommiting things out because of time, but completely changing things around at will
Sometimes I don't know why I put up with you damn fanboys.
But then again I'm the same one who made the mistake of seeing Spider-Man with the biggest Spidey fan I know. He elbowed me so many times I thought I was bruised.
I will most likely see this (right when it hits theaters) with someone who knows nothing of X-Men so I can enjoy it in peace.
I am upset with the juggernaut outfit. Why exactly couldn't they just make it the same as the one he really wears? Plus he needs to be A LOT bigger. Its too bad, I love Juggernaut. Movie should still be cool though.
Bah, all this bitching about Juggernaught. If they were to make him like his comic book self, not only would it be expensive as hell (Taking Hulk as an example, especially looking at their special effects budget as-is), but I think he'd look pretty stupid (Hyde from LXG, rubber suit or CG, it would still look ridiculous). Hell, look at Bane from Batman and Robin. That guy didn't use a rubber suit, and he looked dumb as hell anyways.
Comic books are one thing, but translate that into the real world and things get silly.
I do agree on his costume though, I'd like to think they tried the comic design first and found that it looked bad.
And official word on the sentinals is that they would have added 8 million to the budget of X2, so they were cut.
I hate Hale Berry too.
And why can't fanboys accept these movies for what they are? Movie continuity, not comic continuity. It's not like X-Men doesn't have it's share of 'self continuous comic books' already. Fanboys are dumb.
Don't get me wrong guys, there were things I did not mind about the movies however when you read the Xmen Adventures comic book series not to be confused with the regular Xmen/Uncanny Xmen universe and they are ten times better in character approach, and story you kind of get really pissed off at the BS Marvel decided to release for a movie. So with Spidey they made the Green Goblin totally suck in appearance but they at least more or less kept the essense of how this character truely was. I have the same opinion about the Hulk yeah the movie was kind of lame but again the hulk was the Hulk. In Xmen they screwed up really popular characters, raped them in my opinion. Sabertooth I mean come on it's not hard to get this character right, Magnetos look isn't hard to keep right nor is the Juggernaut. I had no complaints about the actor they chose but how they made him appear. They made Storm weak, the toad couldn't give her a run for her money even if she had missing limbs. Seriously, now I'm kind of concerned with the Superman movie. B1 that is sort of true about the Juggernaut however they never showed him like a whimp. Now imagine how would you react if they had made Spidey look like Arno and instead of his spidey suit he wore armor and drove around in a humvee singing I'm spiderman.... I bet you would be happy too. Especially when they have the nerve to look at the fans in the eye and say well that's the best we can do. Okay were are the freaking Sentinels, hmm they are too expensive? They sink the titanic but you can't have a team model a sentinel in cg, or have a guy dress up in a suit and that get enhanced with cg... Thank you Marvel I understand.
Personally I love the style choices they made for the movies. I always liked the comics and the TV cartoon, but I reckon they did a really good job converting and redesigning stuff for a more gritty, real-world feel as opposed to spandex and chrome everywhere (apart from Patrick Stewart's head!).
The shot of Magneto holding Wolverine in the air makes me wonder if they're going to have him rip Wolvie's adamantium out of his skeleton like he did in the comics. That would be pretty intense.
