DVD-RW Recomendations

I'm thinking about getting a DVD-RW for the computer so I can save all the video we've been shooting of our new son onto DVDs. Anything I need to be on the lookout for? Some kind of basic model that gets the job done is fine, nothing too fancy (read, expensive).

NEC 3520 off newegg is only 43 dollars or so. Ive had it for a while, and I love it. Dual Layer, all that fancy junk.

Also, flash the firmware to disable RIPLOCK

I have a Plexdor PX-716A, and can only recommend it, works perfectly and shouldn't be too expensive.

I got some NEC Dual Layer as well, works well enough. Most DVD writers use NEC parts and just put a new wrapper around it, anyway.

they are all pretty much the same these days. get the cheapest one

Anyone using the lightscribe tech? Just wondering how that holds up over time.
