Hello, first post here.
I got fed up with a project I was working on, so I figured I'd make a tribute to my childhood hero; Krang.
The texturing and modelling is not finished yet. I just took him in to Max from Wings and slapped some procedurals on him.
anyways, C&C greatly appreciated.

Definately needs more tubular folds and whatnot that a brain has.
You going to make his body, or at least his little walker?
There's a bumpmap in there, but the bump smoothing / amount seems to be too low. Didn't want to emphasize it anyways since it's a stinking procedural
I'll most likely model some more folds, and handle the smaller folds with a displacement map.
I'm considering taking him in to zbrush, but I think it might be a bit overkill.
I hate the android body with a passion, so that one ain't coming near. But I'm going to make the tripod thing he had in the first episodes, and perhaps the walker.
I just don't want to hide too much of the gooey goodness that Krang is in the nude.
As for what I'm planning for the general look and feel for the texture; here's the ref I'm planning to use:

I particularly like how he appears to be on his little 'legs' in the render. Maybe its just me, but the picture screams for some tapshoes and a little bowtie.
Anyway, I started some sketching on the area where he sits in the technodrome. Going painfully slow:
Unfortunately I know nothing about animation and rigging, and it feels like a bit too ambitious of a project to start with.
Feel free to express any interest in helping me with making him move... bearing in mind it will take a while before the scenery is done.

Zergxes; He's being rendered in 3dsmax 8 along with Vray. I guess native Max animation would be the best; but anything that works really.

If anyone remembers, I'd love to know in which episodes he has the chicken-walker... I've downloaded a few episodes, but it's either the android body or the tripod.
Here's an update; I remade the eye-area a bit. Added eyelids and fixed the IOR on the eyes. Looks much better IMHO.

I haven't made a final desicion wether to make four or a bunch of teeth like now. I've taken some liberties with stuff like the eyes too (they're not purple)...
All in all, I doubt he could be mistaken for anything except Krang

Sorry for the lack of updates; I had to do some research on spherical wheels and their construction. Small update:
I'm doing some tests with slime. Surprisingly difficult to make...
I found a decent workflow with blobmesh now; so it should be downhill from now on.
