kong goes from 2.5 hours to 3 and the lenth change will require 36 million bucks in VFX shots.. peter jackson is paying this money out of his own pocket.. cant wait..

peter j., while you're at it: an additional 30 minutes of nude scenes of naomi watts wouldn't be bad. aids in keeping the people awake in their cinema chairs

jackson is one of the few that can pull of a 3 hour movie and have people wanting more. he's redoing his favorite movie of all time, it's likely it will tend toward indulgent, but it should be great fun nonetheless.

I trust Jackson to do the right thing, But then again the original 1933 version os a brisk 90 minutes,and is the finest example of cinematic pacing I have ever seen.

PJ is such a clever sausage. I don't think he'd make a call like this based on ego. The film is probably better with the three hour cut.
