not that i know of , never needed that, but you could set your weld threshhold up real high, and select 2 verts and hit weld and it should do it

You can also weld selections, too. The shortcut for that is ctrl+W. Just select the UV points you want to connect, then hit that. There's also something called stitching, but I'm not certain as to how that works.

stitching works GREAT but not for what he wants, stitching attaches 2 uv clumps together along a edge, select a edge and go to tools (i think) and do stitch dialog, for most cases sliding the spinner all the way to 0 will have the best effect, the stitch in the rt click menu does not give you the slider controls, so only works good when the edges on the 2 chunks you are stitching are the same length,

the stitch was messed up in either max 5 or 6.. can't rember which, it works fine in 8 tho

the weld works, but only within it's threshold distance. I'm not sure where to change that in the default unwrap window though, but it is in the sidebar list with the chugnuts uv tools script.

You can change the weld threshold in the Options > Advanced Options box. Just make sure to "Save Current Settings as Default" when you're done.

If you're using the default uv editor setup:
