I must ask though is this guild wars inspired? you should submit that armor deisign to them, an armor outfit like that would be badass..
Do you have a good arm reference you used for his arms? Im trying to find some arm reference like that to try and model some things form ultima 8 like the beginning scene... i had a good front and back reference but with out a side reference im lost
Any ways, i think 3100 tri unoptimized is pretty good if that includes the armor+cape+wingthingies... His feet look a bit long, but i think that is just because of the gold toe plate piece..
Are you going to texture this beast as well? He would cool as like a hellknight or shadow night or something, make his face all black and shadowy with red glowing eyes... wouldnt have to model a face that way

secondly, I recon the feet are too long / wide in general. I remember when Ror was doing a medieval model and I suggested to him about making the boots more slim and the addition of spurs might look great. Maybe I've got something against big boots like that but I don't think they suit him
I know this isnt really the point of what you are doing... but ... I really like the way you modeled the shoulders and torso in the mesh underneath the armour.

I took it a little further and turned more into something I really, really wanted to build for work.
Basically a nightmare clone of sorts from SC2. There are areas that are more blocky than others, so they'll need more attention.
I worked on the boots/feet, too. The talons at the ends of the toes made the feet look huge, but when I curled them a bit it didn't bother me as much. Thoughts?
Overall I think it needs more pointy bits.
I kind of want to do a nightmare/dream combo where dream will be a female sporting a more angelic look.
Looking great. My only minor complaint is that the face of the helmet is sort of boring looking. I know Nightmare doesn't have the most complex helm in SC2, but you're free to do whatever you want with your version. Maybe an angry demon face thing?

Those leggings don't seem to follow the same look that you have going on with the other parts of armor on the body.
