There's only a cut to freedom when you follow someone else's ideologies. That only happens with people that follow a religion, or another group (scientology etc) or believe that there must be a greater, already given, meaning to their existence (don't like the idea of being nobodys)
If you tell yourself that the meaning of your life should be to enjoy it, or do bodybuilding, then it was your choice. There's no cut to freedom if you're the one restraining yourself, it's just one of your free decisions.
