really depends on your situation (like if you're able to get a work visa and so on)I know we recently hired a french concept guy, so its not impossible for people from outside the states to get a job here, that said we will look at the people who are local first, and your stuff has to be much more impressive if you're coming from UK. It takes alot more effort to bring someone in from outside the states, I'm sure you understand how it is.

On the bright side at least Ritural make the effort for us "foreign types"....some companies don't even do that.

Yeah seems like they have a french concept artist hired lately. I guess aliens from abroad are welcome too, if good enough...

The truth is most of these game companies don't really understnd immigration law. Volition's lawyer told them I couldn't get a visa even if I tried. Turbine's art director tried really hard to get the admin there to even 'consider' sponsoring a visa but they wouldn't even try. Persistance (and a 4 minute interview with INS) paid off, now I have my visa.

Ror:- Thanks for clearing that up,I admit my comment was an ignorant one and for that I apologise.

I just hate the way that so many amazing european artists can't/arn't allowed to have a shot in the US games industry or just can't join some of the more famous companies in this industry. which oviously means that if they were lucky enough to be born in America,they would get a job no problems.

but wait a minute,
there is another alternative to get a US visa.

you dont have to go to a collage and pay hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get a visa..
i mean, come on, none of us here are sucker enough to be doing that..

you can also marry a yank.
