Ok gang, I'm trying to remember the name of an awful film. I saw it on TV in the late 1980s, it was probably a TV movie.
A man who was an inventor gets mugged or attacked and becomes paralysed from the waist down. He invents this material that is like muscles, and builds a crap looking suit out of it. The arms and legs looked like bendy pipes, and the body part was a plastic solid chuck that looked like a flowerpot.
He used it to fight crime.

He doesn't really make muscles though, just skin for his burned body I think.
It was about a man who built a plastic suit that looked like a flowerpot. The arms were bendy and made from this material that mimiced muscles.
He tested it in his house where his first succesful test with a tiny bit blew two desks apart.
The suit was orange.
One time he ran out of power and was stuck like a statue. A kid helped him.
That's the one!
Now the big question; can anyone find a picture of Exo-Man, after Rick's description I HAVE to see this!
But this isn't a million miles from the suit design...
