Yep. You could make her the same race now that I think of it as they are naturally force sensitive and see through the force, no jedi training needed and it still fits your concept.
Looks pretty good, although if it was in smooth-shaded rather than wireframe, it'd probably be a little easier to judge.
The pelvis seems to have very little motion at the moment - when people run, the pelvis doesn't just go up and down vertically, it also moves from side to side and rotates when weight is transferred between each foot.
Overall the run looks slightly mechanical due to there not being much sway or give in the limbs, they're moving a little too "precisely" ... but overall it's pretty good, especially for a first animation!
Come to think of it, your right. I've been viewing some motion references and the pelvis shifts from side to side and rotates to distribute wieght. Also, it has a constant forward motion.
Thank you for pointing that out. I probably wonldn't have noticed.
Leg motion looks fine. Yeah the pelvis needs some side to side sway and rotation. His clavicles need to move a bit with the swinging of his arms. Also, when running and swinging their arms like that a person's forearm is close to parrallel to the ground when the elbow is all the way back. When the arm comes forward and the upperarm is about lined up with the torso the upperarm kinda stays there for a moment and the arm bends inward at the elbow to complete the arc. Don't know how much sense that makes. So hard to describe motion in text. But that's kind of the way I move my arms at least when I run. The up and down movement of his pelvis is a bit drastic, maybe lessen that a bit. Run around the room a bit and really study the motion of each little part.
Also remember that the shoulders counter rotate with the pelvis, so that the head remains fairly steady. the Center of gravity will tend to shift over the weight bearing foot, You can do that with just Pelvis ortatins on the (in Maya) on the X, and Y. or (in Max) on the X and the Z. also you don't need to have as much of a verical component in the run. but it makes it look like he's running in Snow. But otherwise, it's pretty good.
-Alright, she needs a highlight in the dip on the upper lip and fix the broken nose problem. Any suggestions with the nose? Maybe it's just a highlight problem. I'll see what I can do.
The upper lip looks bigger than the lower lip, and that seems pretty odd to see, i would try and tweak the geo there to fix that.... But everything else looks great so far.
