Hey all,
I've been learning Max at my new job and was wondering if anyone knows whether or not Max has anything like Maya's render layers? It would be nice to render out different pieces of geometry in separate files, that I could then just comp in photoshop. I asked around here and everyone kinda looked at me and shook their heads like I had just asked where they kept the Gorkamatrons. I know there are display layers, and I suppose I could just hide stuff and do separate renders, but it would be nice if I could do it in one go...seems like a silly thing for a high end prog not to have.
thanks

Harry's Layer Interface script might do ya.

i have never heard of a script or anything to do that, seems your best bet would be just to hide and render, if you keep the layers neat, or even just use groups it does not seem like it would be too much more trouble
now.. target weld.. thats a silly thing for a high end prog not to have
Thanks for those links Eric, some intersting scripts on those pages.
