Cryptic Studios is hiring Level Artists

We are currently looking for a full time Level Artist (Entry Level).
Day to day activities will include:
* Using pre-built art assets to construct and light 3D environments in our proprietary world editor
* Work closely with the Senior Game Designer and Art Director to create varied layouts that take into account the rules and needs of a MMORPG
Necessary Skills and Experience:
* Experience with any 3D package or 3D game editor
* Demonstrates an understanding of game play, and what it takes to create a varied and interesting game space
* Displays familiarity or experience with vertex lighting
* Strong problem solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions using fixed resources
* 3DSMax experience a plus
* Strong texture skills a plus
* Previous level design experience a plus

Cryptic Studios, Inc., located in Los Gatos, California, was established in July of 2000 and is an independent developer of massively multiplayer online games for the PC and next generation consoles. Its first game, City of Heroes, is currently in development and will launch a virtual world where thousands of people play simultaneously, take on the role of superheroes, fight villains and help create a dynamic story in a visually-stunning, 3-D graphical world.
