Hmmm I like the work alot but I hate how you have your site layed out. You should divide that long page up into a few pages for easy navigation. Later.

I wish I could look at your fantastic textures up close! I understand that you might be wary of people swiping your stuff, but the 3D figures are just big enough to display them, but not big enough to get a really good look at.

The background color is perfect. Just enough to stay in the back and show off the assets, but not absolute black.

As far as the interface goes, I wish the links to the different subjects were more graphic, like buttons (not that they should look like 'buttons!). The way the text links are now, they don't look like they refer to anything as important as portfolio categories.

Gorgeus work but you don't show it off large enough
in each case for people who are not artists to be impressed and artists can't scrutinize as much as they would like to.

You ought to make your renders 2-3 times the size to really help sell how much your textures are doing to sell those models. Likewise, a flat shaded render of the model without textures or smoothing groups as comparison beside the beauty renders would help to show off what you have done.

It's all about showing off your skills through the proper presentation. I can see you have the skills, but I can't study them up close like I would like to.

Looking forward to seeing the 3d section.

It would be REALLY good to see you tackle a much more generous spec. You've proved you can optimise the hell out of 256, lets see you make the most out of 1024 or 10,000 polys then normal mapped hi poly and so on.

Perhaps your focus is purely console systems with a lower spec though, I don't know. I DO know that the question I always ask when I see you work is 'Will those skills transfer gracefully to modern technology'.

Great work though, really impressive use of colour and clear clean cut presentation style, you just need to make the renders bigger.

    great folio, qube.
I'm with ror and jzero, make bigger renders of the 3d meshes, these ones don't do justice at all to your great work.
I loved the graphisme stuff too, haven't seen the last 2 on the boards though. I reckon that the disco one is my fav so far smile.gif

    great work again smile.gif

When you say stuff like "collaboration with X and Y" or "a model by X" it always makes me wonder for a mment which part was your contribution.

The textures must be bigger so we can study them ^_^
    Good content so far!

Great work, but link a full scale version of the renders or textures to each picture. I was expecting to be able to do that when i saw the little pictures.

i work on 1024 on my computer so its kind of optimized for
that. i hear what u all are saying.

    sage.

what u say is kind of... flipped. i must say that i dont agree with you.
i made it that way to have easy navigation. to reduce
navigation. to have all works right to be seen for the
browsing person with no long clicking u can get a good
overview of the works. that was my intention. i think its
easier to use the scroll bar up and down than click 10 links
to get each item big or something like that. that just is
faster. i must say that i know where u comin from.
i think this is not a usability problem tho its a matter of taste i fear wink.gif

    killing people.
i dont quiet get what u say about underwear lol

    jzero.

for the link "Botton" thing this is why i made those arrows.
i can say i was slightly thinkin the same if i could make
them more obvois but its not like i have a tons of links and
need to direct the visitors view to the right ones. there
are only these few so i think that is okay or what do u
think? atleast thats my point of view.

the textures are just the original size.
i will keep the size of the figures tho i think and go the
direction tgz suggested and link a bigger image to each
maybe a pop up. i dunno yet. i think that would need java

nkoste & Vahl. i thought i cant hurt to put a few of the
graphisme stuff in there. vahl yea i havent posted these
ones on the forums. i meant it like that u remember the
graphisme in generall or whatever. glad u like it im not soo
proud of them. i hadnt made anything in that direction for a
while and was a bit rusty when i started those. i wanna do
some more tho allready have a new style in mind wink.gif

ill definatly keep the size thing in mind and will consider it for the next update. as soon as i have the time to

I think it looks fine qubi, maybe have the abilety to open a larger view in a new window ... but it really depends on the resolution the viewer is running on ,.. , if he is 1024X768 , then your images should seem a good size... most of us arty types use crazy high resolutions , but you cant design for us too. smile.gif

I love the simple layout, larger renders would be nice (thats the only bad part that I can see). But seriously qube.. your work is so inspiring.
