Its a red wheel, if you go to the wall opposite the entrance it looks like you're standing in, and then turn, look towards the entrance. Scan the pipe running vertically from the floor to the ceiling, with another pipe connected to it diagonally. Thats where the red wheel should be...its going to raise the water level...so be preparded to get back up to the entrance in a hurry...

I got stuck there for 2 hours, so I can understand tubboy's predicament...I didn't even realize there was a handle, I thought they wanted you to stack the barrels and climb into the tunnel in the main room...

Games hardly have any problem solving, usually to get something fucking simple done you gotta do it the most complex way possible. Its more like puzzle solving because its only going to fit the way designer wants it to fit and if you get crative it just wont work.
This part's only easy if you know what you're supposed to do. I spent forever stacking barrels in the water before I I got to a point where I couldn't go any further and figured out there had to be another way to get passed this section. The rest of the "puzzles" in the game were pretty easy.

Yeah, that whole thing was a pain in the ass, because in order to stack the barrels, or pick some of them up, you'd have to constantly dive under water. Had the same problem...so much so that I purposefully killed myself out of frustration...
I got stuck for a minute or so in the watercraft puzzle where you had to put the floating blue barrels in the cage under the ramp to make it lift up. I thought that was rather cool
WOW, Glad I could help so many people feel good about simplicity.
I got past this part. Thanks to you who helped rather than RUB it in...:P
Have not had problems since. I'm actually finally on track now after adjusting to how the game play works. Not the smoothest game graphically but its definally kept my interest alive play wise.
Ok, I am a sucker for asking when not spending more time with it. There i said it. I am a noob. Anyways, any ideas on this part? I've flipped 2 switches, stacked berrels and boxes. NOTHING. What am i doing wrong? http://www.pugbox.com/se.jpg
flip the switch in the shack on the middle of the dam. you should here a loud noise of a gate opening. get back in your airboat and ramp off the dead trees (in the open area where you destroyed the helicopter) in the water and jump through the open flood gate.
