OMG! You can't make a film of V - it's a huge piece of Mooreish propaganda, so they'll make it into a pile of Hollywood horsecrap with leeeerrrrve interests and stuff...like making Dredd take off his helmet and kiss another judge *eeeeew* or totally gutting League of Extraordinary Gentlemen...though I quite liked LoEG aside from the fact that it was the wrong plot...

V is very english, it just won't translate. Plus the watch-outski's will fill it with their own psuedo philosophical bollocks. What a shame. What a damn shame.

Looks like Andy and Larry are still putting their names on other people's ideas. Although it's not like anyone who watches American movies would even know who Alan Moore is.

Heh - my thought was "V is very English, it's a shame they're going to try to translate it." It's odd that such a creators' rights guy like Alan Moore would see his work 'adapted' to film more than other contemporary comic book writers, but at least he's getting paid. Not everyone can even say that.

I just looked at the imdb page for this film. *sigh* The director is a James McTeigue, and this will be his first attempt at a feature-length film. Not to worry, though, as he was recently an assistant director for both Star Wars Eps II and III as well as the Matrix trilogy. VfV should at least have some grazygood bluescreen work, eh? I look at the Sin City production and can only wonder why all comic movies aren't handled that way...
