Looks cool. But why let kids have all the fun? I say make 'em use Max or Maya and get 'em to the point where they're ready to through a brick through the monitor, like a real artist.
Actually I think that "Smoothteddy" is a much better 3d app for kids. It's Java based, works in a browser window, and exports to OBJ format, textured and painted. Very simple drawing based interface. and VERY intuitive.
I remember the 3d modeling toy for kids back in my day...it was called LEGOS. But now instead of Legos being fun and having original content, it's allll a bunch of star wars and harry potter...
