    I would suggest applying a skin-colored material to the current model, and put it in the renderer of choice. Before texturing. To see how it actually performs. This should be done periodically during sculpting, not at the end.

    I am pretty certain there are Matcaps for zbrush that can replicate this style and if not wouldnt be crazy complex to replicate. But yeah its important to test things early in as close as final shading as possible. These days you could possibly also just send a slightly lower subdiv level into your engine of choice and test there.

    Regarding you model, i feel like its worth it polishing out all the bumps and lumps. Even with cel shading, issues like these might still come through and caus faulty shadow/light transitions.

    @Neox

    Thank you very much for your reply.

    I don’t have any knowledge of 3D modeling, and since I’m the one who commissioned the work, I have the modeling files.

    What I’m wondering is simply whether there are any issues with the current sculpt when it comes to creating a cartoon-rendering style model like the images above.

    If the bumpy or uneven areas are smoothed out, would it be fine to move on to texturing from the current sculpt and apply cel-shading like the examples above without any problems?

    I’m asking this separately from the skill level of texturing or rendering.

    Thank you for your response.

    I guess what I am saying is, let your artist preview it to you in a comparable shading.

    Hmm, you wiped the original post. This isn’t great for continuity in a forum setup, because now the replies don’t make much sense.

    It’s better to keep posts intact, because people learn from each other’s posts.
