Just finished a render that's heavily based off of the breakfast scene in Howl's Moving Castle! Modeled in Maya, painted in Substance Painter, then rendered it in UE5. |
This took me a bit but I finally finished a weapon referencing Mike Azevedo's concept art of a street sign mashup weapon! I learned a lot and had a lot of fun modeling this super cool looking prop-- which was all done in MAYA and Zbrush. I painted and textured in Substance Painter, then rendered in UE5. The wireframes were done in MAYA with the wireframe material. Check out the original concept art! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Xn1Z1l
This was one of the most ambitious pieces I've worked on as a 3D artist, and I had an awesome time working on it. My favorite part about this project was doing the trim sheets and tiling textures, and it was so much fun to watch it all come together into a finished piece that I probably never thought I could make a couple years and even a couple months ago. Most of the modeling was done in MAYA and the notable prop pieces were sculpted in ZBrush and baked in Substance Painter. The tiling textures were all done in Photoshop (the wallpaper and tiles), and the trim sheets were done in Zbrush then baked and painted in Substance. This is another concept that I took from Art Station, Vekika Somerma. Please check them out, I took a lot of inspiration for the painterly style from this concept art. I had so much fun interpreting and modeling this piece. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Gvknkz
