Environment artists, What techniques can I use for sharper/natural blending between terrain masks?

I'm currently using mask's generated in World Creator for my terrain, problem is they don't hold up for close up shots, even at 8k. how can I get around this, are there some techniques environment artists use that i can implement? any help is appreciated.
