Hi everyone, I am working on a project in Maya and I am new to creating game assets and UV islands. My map in Maya in set to 2048 for all my assets, but I have one asset that is really big in the scene and I can't match its UV size to the rest of my assets. I am still working to understand a bit more about texel density and UV's. I am trying to cut the bigger asset into smaller UVshells to fit it into the 1x1 UV island, but it's still too big if I match it to my other assets texel density. Any advise on how I can work around this is really appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! Maybe also try the forums search function. Texel density is a common topic and you might find information that's useful for your case.

Good luck!
Thank you for your comments and your help. I appreciate it. I will try the different options you mentioned. I guess as I am new to this, it looks really overwhelming and I want to get it right. I will do some more reading in the forum for any additional tips :)
in the maya UV toolkit there's a texel density tool (see image)
