Is this a thing? I swear i was reading an article the other day about this exact topic. I am currently learning fusion 360 and my pipeline is

  • fusion for base modeling
  • Export in MOI3D as FBX
  • Fix the geometry if needed and unwrap in blender
  • bake in marmo
  • texture in substance.

The more im getting into CAD the more im realising how next level this workflow actually is


What are your thoughts on this?

    Well, CAD is great for some stuff ; and It's also incredibly inefficient for some other. That's about all there is to it really !

    why does everyone go through MOI ? you can dump a mesh from fusion very simply and save yourself £200


    that's a genuine question - I honestly can't see the point (especially if you're using max since you can live import the fusion data)

    i use blender and MOI allows you to tweak the mesh before exporting. Its just so convenient.

    Of course if you are a retopo god then you can just retopo a very messed up topology straight from fusion360
