Been busy lately working on this alien while working on an Ue5 project. Currently a work in progress as you can see. I'm kinda happy with it, but something is off and I have no clue what the problem can be. Their are tons of errors that I've made o this, go ahead a destroy me with criticism!

Your gray alien is brown ! I guess its updated for a modern audiences :)
Its hard to sell a character without eye especially true for character with huge black eyes
Update: Went back and changed the texture. Also, added eyes like you suggested!
Hi :) Even if alien, I would not neglect reasonable, fleshed out anatomy and proportions. The surfacing could also be improved, as currently it appears clay-like.
A reference model on the side might help you with anatomy. Maybe even start with a base mesh if it's about exploring a design.
Keep it up!
Thank you for the feedback. :) All I can say is I'm not happy with this one. When sculpting I was just kinda going everywhere, just assuming the muscle forms and bone structure. I'm starting to feel like a bad artist.😞
I read somewhere that grays are some sort of walking vegetables so in this case broken anatomy might actually work better
What are this small pieces on his back ?
That's his spine.
Please, no need feeling like a bad artist or anything like that! Just keep pushing and consider having references on the side (could block in first, then check/adjust, have some ah ha moments). In the end, have fun. Make projects, reflect, repeat. At some point, chuckle at your old projects (or remake them, if you still like the idea)
Don't know much about the appearance of grays. I would weigh underlying idea/intention.
Just an opinion, keep going 💪
