but i feel like you need some character (even if crude) that lives there to check for scale, atm the bench looks tiny or the doorknob very huge. everythig feels like out of proportion to the next thing.

Trying to not get out of focus, so a full character may be in another piece, what do you think of an animal maybe, a cat, chicken or a deer?

I really enjoy how your lights are interacting with the leaves, and how wonderfully contrasted the leaf colour is to the rest of the scene.
