Hi.
I'm working on rather complex models with lots of heavy highpoly pieces.
When building the low poly I like to go little by little, and do in between checks with a quick autounwrap and a test bake.
Now this process is quick because I can divide the highpoly stuff into smaller chunks and save those individually. The low poly being light enough doesn't take long to export.
Now with the use of bake groups I have a problem:
If I want to make use of the auto loader and naming conventions I understand I need to save everything in a single fbx file, which takes forever to export and is not at all a feasible way to frequently check small changes.
If I manually save the fbx files I'll have to save them for every bake group individually. (Ripping objects from an fbx in Toolbag to drag them into a bake group seems to break the reference to the fbx)
What is your preferred workflow? Is there a way that allows more flexibility in the way you organize your files without conflicting with bake groups?

You can use multiple files with the quick loader. When you go to add files, select all that you wish to load. To add more later, click the Load button again.
