I don't know why I didn't think of this, but after painting the skew you only get a quick bake as a reference to see what it will look like. You have to do another full bake to see your final results. I have a good looking bake now.
Hello,
I'm trying to bake this handguard I made for a customizable MPX SBR, but I've been encountering problems trying to skew my bake. This is my first test bake so there are some other problems besides the pin, but I know how to fix them so I'd rather not mention it.
I wanted to see if I can make a screw inside of a hole look nice on just a flat plane, since this won't be visible for the most part. The bake seemed to skew the way the screw sits in the hole, so I decided to correct it with a paint skew operation.
This is the result. It looks nice for the most part, but the edges always give me this odd pixilation. I've had this problem before and fixed it in Photoshop, but there has to be an easier way, right?
What would others do about this? Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Thanks for the help!
☺️

Try pressing the Bake button to do a full-quality bake. When making changes with the skew or cage painting tools a lower-quality bake is shown to give you a real-time preview.
