I'm trying to setup a fur material in UE5 for a squirrel. I'd like to use the skin texture as the color for the fur but the groom doesn't have the correct UVs. UE5 documentation provides a Maya script to do this very thing under "Applying Textures to Hair UVs". https://docs.unrealengine.com/5.0/en-US/xgen-guidelines-for-hair-creation-in-unreal-engine/
However I only have Maya LT and one of it's limitations is that it can't open an alembic file.
Does anybody know of a way around this or any alternative methods to transfer UVs to Curves?
I can upgrade to the full version of Maya, but I'm trying to avoid that if possible.
