Zbrush Radial Symmetry problem

Im using radial symmetry but it's creating some gaps around the mesh where the radial symmetry don't work, maybe the difference in surface height could be the problem?

Some brushes wont work on surface with different elevation , try different brush

Or there is work around using sphere and 2 layers ->layer 1 morph the sphere to shape of your object and turn it off layer2 sculpt your details -> turn on both layers and you will what you want then can just project to your original [dont forget to give the sphere enough subdivs to hold details]
