I've been trying to bake base textures for my hair cards, I did all the hair stuff in blender and the exported the high poly hair as an obj, same goes for the cage and low poly planes, I left the render process all night because I thought this was an expensive task but the progress bar from the preview tab didn't even move a bit.
I'm new to xNormal so maybe I'm doing something wrong.
This is my scene from Blender
These are my settings in xNormal
And I also checked the scene on xNormal using the 3D viewer

Wait what!
aren't there better options for this, than xNormal?
To clarify, I've used it for years but only for HS >hardsurface bakes with a cage so kind of odd seeing these hair-card-things...
What do you suggest as a better option? I'm really new on this and only found hair card tutorials that use xNormal for baking the textures
Others with pro or advanced experience might chime in however here's just a brief insight, I think may prove useful when utilizing current gen tools for predictable quality results:

Thank you! I'll have a look. By the way, the baking process suddenly started working, I have no idea why it works now, so I'll mark this as solved I guess
Does tend too happen, for any number of reasons 👍️
