Job Opportunity Description.

We are currently seeking talented individuals for a Technical Animator position. This individual will be responsible for bringing our characters to life with realistic body and facial animations. The Technical Animator will be responsible for the full animation pipeline for the non-playable characters developed for various efforts. In addition to having an understanding and experience with a variety of animation cycles (e.g., run, walk, breathing, idle), this individual will be responsible for developing realistic animations seen in commercial, story-driven games. This will require an understanding, experience, and willingness to work with motion capture software, such as Autodesk MotionBuilder®.

Required Qualifications and Skillset.

· Minimum 2 years experience working with small teams and tight deadlines,

· Strong proficiency in animation software such as Maya, 3DS Max,

· Experience in animating humanoid bipedal models, body and facial animations,

· Experience in importing character rigs from Maya to Unreal Engine 4,

· Animation state system in Unreal

· Experience in Python and Maya scripting languages,

· Strong knowledge and experience of character kinematics, deformations, and topology.

· High proficiency in character skinning, physics, and technical workflows.

· Must be able to complete multiple characters rigs.

· Strong proficiency and knowledge in naming convention.

· Experience working with various animation cycles for video games,

· Ability to consistently meet project deadlines,

· Relentless creativity,

· Ability to maintain documentation of all software deliverables.

· .Proficiency in working with Metahuman charcter rigs

· Collaborate with the Art Lead to create animations that fit to the visual style of the project

· Provide knowledge and solutions for animation problems

Additional Desired Qualifications:

· Experience and knowledge with character modeling and sculpting,

· Proficiency exporting animations from Maya to Unreal Engine 4,

· Proficiency working with blendshapes for facial animations,

· Experience using motion capture software, such as Faceware, MotionBuilder.

· Experience with Oculus Rift/Quest and other VR Platforms

Custom rigs and animations for alien characters (Walking, idle, and conversational animations)

WA – cleanup work on existing animations, proficient in rigging and animation systems and understanding of Unreal animation state system, ask them about the workflow process between maya and Unreal
