We are now seeking a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Character Artists that can fill a senior position and hit the ground running and immediately contribute to the effort in creating our next generation of Avatars for both our core product, TriCAT Spaces and our research projects.
This position is for full-time employment in our Ulm office (Germany) with initial support on a remote basis.
Create high quality, game ready 3D Characters and texture maps and to ensure that it conforms to the defined technical and artistic requirements.
Working closely with the Lead Artist to ensure all 3D models maintain quality and most importantly consistency across multiple projects and to meet technical requirements.
To help maintain and improve upon internal pipelines and workflows required for creating characters, as well as taking an active role in R&D to push our visual fidelity
Communicate effectively with artists, programmers and other team members to meet and exceed milestones.
Provide constructive input and support to other members of the art team
Must have experience in a Senior role in a professional capacity
Advanced knowledge of industry standard software such as 3ds Max, Z brush, Marvellous Designer etc.
Strong understanding of texture creation/authoring tools such as Substance Painter/Designer
Strong Understanding of the human anatomy/form
Experience in rigging and weighting
A positive collaborative and professional working attitude.
Must be self-motivated.
Able to prioritise and multitask.
Degree in 3D design, Computer sciences, Game design or similar.
Working with Motion Capture data
Experience with Character Creator 3
Experience working with Unity 3D
Can speak German
