Project that I started a short time ago. I'm in the blocking stage, testing the volume of objects. The idea is to make a stylized Viking village, using substance designer and painter for texture. For modeling I think about doing it in Blender and doing the high in zbrush. Styling is new to me, so any tips or feedback from the project will be helpful. I'm new to Unreal too, so I'm learning a lot on it, I'm even using Unreal 5, despite some bugs, the lighting result is very good.
With blocking I hope to know what I will need to model, and what I won't. I'm also modeling some weapons and props to compose the houses
Phenomenal balance and composition, great work!! I think the tree's, being stylized, should still have similar treatment as you did to the grass, else it'd look like two completely different styles clashing. Either way, they'd look muuuch better once finished and have a bit more dynamic to the scene by slightly swaying.
Thanks for the feedback! I really didn't like the result of the trees, but I left it that way just to see the evolution. Unfortunately the organic part is my weak point, so I will possibly have to redo a 2x or 3x the tree until I get the good result
