Hello. Is it possible to export an OBJ/FBX from marmoset4? It is extracted only by a tris. Has anyone ever succeeded in getting a quads? Is that possible?
GPU-based applications are only capable of processing triangles, which is why you can't export things non-triangulated from Marmoset. You'll notice everything you import gets triangulated too! However, it is usually very easy in applications to merge triangles non-destructively after import, this is what I recommend doing in max
Currently, it is not possible to export quads or ngons from Toolbag. As Ryan mentions, meshes are triangulated on import. We keep the quad-ngon display around for the wireframe view only. It may be possible to support this in the future though. I will add it to our suggestion list.
