What's the matter with videocards currently?

I  don't follow the hardware  market  usually and just decided it's time to update my  videocard. Much to my surprise I couldn't find any  in stocks and available beyond 3060 which are only 20% speedier than my current 980ti  or the price is higher than a whole new pc ?          What kind of apocalypse is happening now ?

Thanks sacboi     We live in interesting time when  it seems cheaper to buy an assembled pc with a more or less  good  Nvidia videocard than just that video-card separately 

Does anyone know an app for iphone that tracks  if something you need is  in stocks currently   at online retailers sites ?   I recall I saw something like this.

Sign up to some discords and twitters - they're usually called stock drops or something. You have to move fast but that's how I got the 3070 I was using til my 3080 showed up
