M.D to game engine directly with both topology and uvs

is it possible to use the retopo tool in MD to retopologize the cloth and just export it directly to the engine to be used in a game with that topology and uvs that came from marvelous?

I do understand that you can't weld the points when you retopoly something in MD but is that gonna cause problems? I've never tested that nor have I seen what happens if the seams that exist in a cloth made in MD are not welded and the mesh is rigged and animated just like that ... wait can it be rigged even without welding? maybe it can but just more difficult?
