3ds Max, How to Snap to Vertex when Snap to Edge/Segment is ON?

Please, see this animated gif



When Snap to Edge/Segment is ON - no way to snap to Vertex(despite it is ON too).
Is there a solution so both snaps to be ON but the Snap to Vertex to works properly?

    Don't think so. I usually leave the snap window open so I can toggle quickly

    What happens if you select a vertic and move it to another vertic, does it snap? in that case it is working. I mean in your case if you want to select a vertic and snap it to another one, it will still snap.

    This happens:



    I want to start drawing a rectangle(for example) and to be able to snap to Vers and Edges with no additional actions like turning Snaps On and Off.


    Why you don't use hotkeys?

    I dont need to switch edge snapping on often enough to bother tbh  -  I get most of what I need from snap to midpoint and edge constraints
