Learning to become a 3D Enviromental Artist

Does anyone have any tips and tutorials on how one begins to learn how to be a 3D Enviromental Artist? I am primarily a 3D Character Artist, but since it appears that there are a larger amount of 3D Enviromental Artist positions that are open and my 3D Character creation capabilities are still not completely up to the desired standard by many would be employers, I figured that it may be a great idea to adapt to market needs in hopes of finding a job. Does anyone have any suggestions or means to aid in this process?
