I am creating hair with the hair modifier in 3ds Max. I wanted to export it into keyshot to render. In order to do this, I had to convert the hair into a mesh. I did this by clicking on the option under Tools. However, when I turn it into a mesh, all of the ends flatten. The color and gradient are also taken out. So, when I render it in Keyshot, it doesn't really look like hair anymore. It looks more like tubes.
Is there a way around this? Does anyone know of any good ways of rendering realistic hair? Ideally through keyshot.
This is how the hair looks when you turn it into a mesh.
