Every few days I go onto ArtStation, and filter so it just shows 2D concepts. I specifically filter for environments and such. ArtStation has something where you can make Collections of art you like. So When I see something I like, I just add it to one of my Collections. If I'm ever in need of something to make, I just scroll through the collections I've saved, and pick the thing that stands out to me the very most. This way, you're not ever stuck in this very position, and you always have a huge array of awesome concept art which speaks to you.
for props, i just go down rabbit holes looking at old electronics, antique furniture, military auction sites, photography collections. there is SO much to pull from throughout history. ask yourself what interests you, open yourself up to it and start googling! Personally, i try and avoid recreating peoples concepts. Theres nothing wrong with it but atleast in my case I dont like having to fill in a bunch of gaps regarding materials, shapes and perspective issues.
here are just a few of the sites i have saved for this very purpose -
What do you want to see that doesnt exist yet? Imagine its the first day of production on a brand new game and you have total control over everything visual. What's the first asset you want to see realized?

You could spend a lifetime building assets from these!
