So.. I've seen a similar topic about this and I think my problem is that the cloth is bending on itself but that's exactly what I want and aim to do so.. what should I do?
Thanks @Killuah I'm looking at it now. A few things I would recommend. First, instead of using a plane, use a rectangle with garment maker. That will produce a triangle pattern that looks much better with folds than a grid pattern.
Second, I think the main issue is the stretch and compress values are causing the simulation to fail. I've attached a new version for you. If you can't use the triangled mesh for cloth, I would recommend making the polys as even as possible. Yours are a almost 2:1.
