Hello,
I was looking on the Websites of AAA Studios like Ubisoft for example and i saw there are no 3D Artist searched on like 10 AAA Studios is it because it has an other Name ( I've heard Environment Artist is similar but when i think of Enviroment Artist im thinking of Modelling Trees, Rocks and placing it into the World so its fitting some people say a Level Designer is doing that and some people say it depends on the Studio ) I mean with 3D Artist someone who models for example the Weapons or Props, Textures it and sending it to the Level Designer or Enviroment Artist.
Im a bit confussed i think you can read that out of the Text but i hope you could understand me and help me further.
Greetings,
John

You'd be more apt to find it in smaller or indie studios.
The more you specialize, the smaller the job market becomes, and the fiercer the competition will be.
Regardless, the market for game artists is saturated. Your portfolio needs to be really good to stand out.
A weapons/hardsurface-only artist is a very small niche. This is attainable, but it is going to be very difficult.
Really, there are no easy paths.
