Voxel Remesh is a multi-threaded & C++, volume based remeshing plugin for 3dsMax developed by PolyDesign.

- Volume based Voxel Remesh allows you to:
  • Create closed surfaces from self intersected meshes,
  • Create a high-poly mesh for baking with round edges,
  • Create a lowpoly mesh from highpoly,
  • Generate a better topology for 3d scan meshes,
  • Create level designs,
  • Create organic meshes in 3dsMax,
  • Create an evenly distributed polygonal mesh for physics simulations,
  • A dynamesh like workflow,
- And much more depending on the artist's creativity :)
  • Since voxel remesh is a volume based plugin, it does only work with closed (watertight) meshes.
  • A quick cap holes modifier will do the job for many cases.
  • Voxel Remesh is a multi-threaded plugin so more cpu cores mean faster results.
  • Voxel Remesh works realtime in low resolutions, and all values are animatable.
  • Voxel Remesh only supports 3dsMax 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
  • If you've already bought the dynamax, you can get this one with %50 discount, Coupon code is inside the dynamax files.
-Stay Creative.

Bought it thanks! Very impressive, if it works out as well as Zbrush's dynamesh it will be a nice native solution. Will save people $600 or so too from having to pay for a license just for dynamesh workflow. Not sure if they have something like this in blender but you should make one if they don't have it. A lot of people would be willing to pay for it I'm sure since they have a bigger usebase.

Also curious will there be any future updates, if for example you find a way to speed up the processing times? Zbrush still is much faster atm.

@tynewThank you for your suggestions. I am happy to hear that you liked the plugin. Yes I am working on performance updates, I will be updating this plugin in future several times. Refinement process makes it slower so once i fix that, it will be a lot faster :) Thanks.

I can't stress how desperate some people are to have a tool like this in 3DSMAX.  I've used this for about an hour now and it works really well.  It struggles with angles other than 90 degrees, leaving small facets on the edges, even with high resolution, refining and smoothing. With enough tweaking you can polish It out.

look forward to the improvements and updates in the future (please don't abandon this)

@Moltar Thanks, I am working on a performance update for now. Yes, for angles other than 90s, a few polygons are not smoothing correctly, I think it is because of the relax algorithm, I am working on a new algorithm for smoothing (polishing) edges to make it smoother.
But as you have mentioned, more resolution and more iterations of relax makes the edges better.
