UI/UX Pipelines in AAA?

Hi everyone, I'm a UI/UX designer working with startups, interested in what the pipeline looks like for UI/UX designers in the (specifically) AAA game industry?

I'm using Figma, Protopie and Invision in my day to day, but I'm guessing folks in the game industry are still using Photoshop due to it's visual design capabilities? 

Do you need to know a game engine? Are UI Artists expected to know some motion software?

Curios to know more, would be great to hear any insights you guys in the industry might have, and potentially expand on the discussion in PM's.
