I started working with a company that they have a pipe line go's like the following :-
building basic mesh in Maya- sculpt in zbrush
- retopology in maya
- UV's in maya
- import the high res model (Zbrush)and the low res model (maya) to zbrush then (divide and project the low res model to the high res ) to make the low rez maatches the high res.
- they divide the low res model 5 times and export each subdivides level as an obj
.________
the problem we r facing now is when we project the low res model to the high res model the Uvs get messed up because projecting in zbrush move the polygons not the uvs is there a better way to do it ? how we can avoid this ?
_______
we export 5 subdivides levels with the same UVs so we can have the same texture map with 5 different obj levels
