Hi everyone, pleaseee help me i looked everywhere, it is 3:35 am in here my eyes are bleeding....
Anyways enough with my problems,
I am trying to get a render in maya, i exported my substance painter maps successfully, i load everything one by one and every thing goes great, yet when i try to plug height map, everything goes nuts in the render view, i repeated each step one by one just to get it right like 10 times already, tried different things bu nothing seems to work, i am wondering if there may be a problem with my software.
has anyone had this problem before?
THIS......
Becomes this...
thanks anyone.

Yes I am using Arnold. This is the shape node setting that i am using, one might say this is default.
When i tries to connect a file note to displacement mat, it does not seem connected in the hypershade, i am not sure if this is what supposed to be.
I am trying to tweak some setting but nothing seems to work, it even starts not to update in the render view when i try.
Is there any other setting i should try?
Thanks.

could you post some maya wireframe shots?
this is the substance painter viewport look:
If you can take a look it would mean a lot since i dont have another computer to double check the scene.
Have a nice day.
I recommend to combine this heightmap into your normalmap.
Painter displacement is a signed float with a range of -1 to 1
It looks like your renderer is expecting a range of 0-1
I did what @oglu said and did not even bother to add height map and it work pretty well, as i was exporting from substance i used NormalGL and it seems to combine normal information with height information. So when i rendered in Maya Arnold it was very close to substance.
I tried to change values of different parameters but i could not manage to come up with a good result.
Here is there arnold render with no height map.
And i also added HDRI.
