Fluffy Sandslash

After I saw Detective Pikachu, I wanted to try to make one of my favorite pokemon Sandslash in a similar style.
So far he has turned out pretty well, still need to work a bit on the claw and scale materials.

I also made him a little news studio with a blue "green screen" for windows as i want to try animating him as a little news anchorman =P

What material were you basing the scales on?

I want to go for a pangolin type scale as that is the animal it is based on. here is an image of one for reference (i may have gone overkill with the ridges on sandslash)
