Hey everyone!

Quick silly question I have for y'all. I am bring some models into a game for a mod and have a bunch of models already made. They don't line up with the skeleton given for the game. Is there a way to skin the models to the skeleton, after moving the bones to properly align, then resetting the position of the bones, bringing the model with it. hopefully that makes sense  :# This is all being done in 3ds max 2014 (old version due to the exporter for the game being only compatible with this year.)

thanks so much for your help!

    Yes

Copy and then Move the bones, skin the mesh to the new bones,  move the bones back, collapse the mesh and then skin it to the proper skeleton.

You could do it quicker using more cunning methods  but it's more complicated so I wouldn't bother.
