Raw steak model? How to?

Hi everyone, I need to create a piece of a raw meat for a hunters kitchen scene. I need an advice on how to texture it in a best way. I imagine this pipeline: get a photo of a steak from the top, create a mode, apply diffusr fro a photo an create a normals from diffuse in PS. Any advice?

That workflow is generally not very good these days. Straight normal maps from photos don't work very well. You're better off baking a highpoly->lowpoly for normals/ao and bringing it into substance painter to paint the materials. You could certainly use cleaned up de-lighted photos for the base color map though.

I'd start by checking out what other people have done. The first link is a freebie, so you can even use that to get started with and just adjust to your needs.

Thanks for the advices, i also thibk that if not baking from photo it must be a material from SD will all the meat/fat structure and color
